Tony winner Dan Fogler is set to star in Dan O'Brien's The Voyage of the Carcass at the SoHo Playhouse this fall. The show is scheduled to run October 5 through November 12, according to The New York Times.
The Voyage of the Carcass, which previously played at HERE, opens on the tip of an iceberg during a Polar expedition that has gone south. Nothing can prepare the intrepid Carcass crew as it goes backwards and forwards in time in a final effort to reach the North Pole, save a marriage, turn off the air conditioner and realize one last dream.
Fogler is best known for his Tony-winning performance in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. He played his final performance in the show on January 29, 2006. Since his departure, he has worked on the films The Marconi Bros., School for Scoundrels, Good Luck Chuck, Ball of Fure and Fanboys, none of which have been released yet.
The Voyage of the Carcass, which will also feature Noah Bean and Kelly Hutchinson, is set to officially open on October 16. Randy Baruh directs.
